  • Continuation of Temporary Amendment to AT Brown Bus Route 3 Due to Road Closure

    Published 24/01/20

Further to our notice from November 2019, please be advised that there will be a continuation of the road closure affecting Wellington Road, Donnington from its junction with School Road to its junction with Townsend Croft.  This closure is due to take effect from Monday 27th January 2020 and works are expected to be completed by Friday 21st February 2020.

The stops that are affected are 08.14am Little Theatre and 08.15am Aldi.  They will be replaced by: 08.14am McDonald’s and 08.15am Donnington Police Station.

We can confirm that after consulting with AT Brown, Bus Route number 3 will take the following route allowing for the road closure.

    Stafford Road / Vineyard Road

    Newport Bus Interchange

    Donnington Police Station

    Newport Girls’ High School

    TA Centre

    Red House Bus Stop

One Stop (Trench Rd, Stanmore Dr)

    Marshbrook Way

As we expect the volume of traffic to be heavier at these times due to the road closure, please arrive at your appointed stop a least 5 minutes before pick up time and allow a reasonable time for the coach to arrive.  If the coach fails to arrive, please notify the school and we will contact the coach company and make arrangements for the students to be picked up as soon as possible.

Please note that the route will revert back to the original times and stops from Monday 24th February 2020 providing that the road is re-opened.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at school.

    Yours sincerely

    K Rushton

    Published 23/10/19

Last chance to come and see our fabulous, fun packed performance of 'Sister Act'-you won't be disappointed!!

"I just want to reiterate the message from other staff over the past few days. I went to see the show last night (Thursday).

I was simply bowled over by the production, the talent both acting and singing, supportive nature of each other and at times emotional roller coaster was simply outstanding.

I know there were a lot of staff supporting Helen and Danny who should be very proud of what they have led and supported, with large parts of the production produced and choreographed by the students themselves. Please go and see it if you have the opportunity, as its the last night tonight. " Mr P Goodison-Head of PE
